ENT Department: Inspiring Health, Transforming Lives

Welcome to the ENT Department, where our passion for ear, nose, and throat health drives us to deliver exceptional care. Our team of experts is dedicated to improving lives through advanced treatments and compassionate service.

Our Expert Team

  • ENT Specialists: Our team of five otorhinolaryngology specialists excels in examining, diagnosing, and treating ear, nose, and throat diseases using a combination of medications and surgical procedures.
  • Audiology Technician: Our skilled audiology technician performs comprehensive hearing assessments, including Pure Tone Audiometry and Otoacoustic Emissions tests, and provides expert hearing aid fitting.

Comprehensive Outpatient Services

We offer extensive outpatient services from Monday to Saturday:

Clinic Hours:

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday and Friday: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Each day, we serve an average of 40 to 60 patients, ensuring they receive timely and effective care. Our facility includes four outpatient rooms, one minor procedure room, and a dedicated Pure Tone Audiometry room.

Inpatient Care: Comfort and Excellence

Our inpatient services provide a supportive environment for recovery:

  • Wards: We offer six beds each for female and male patients, attended by our dedicated ENT nurses. Private and VIP rooms are available for those seeking additional comfort.
  • Operating Room: We have a specialized operating room for ENT surgeries, equipped with the latest technology.

Advanced Operative Services

Our department performs a variety of major and minor surgeries, including:

  • Major Surgeries: Salivary gland surgeries, adenotonsillectomies, microlaryngeal surgeries, Caldwell-Luc procedures, bronchoscopies, esophagoscopies, and sinus surgeries.
  • Minor Procedures: Laryngoscopies, otoendoscopies, nasoendoscopies, ear wax removals, and foreign body removals from the ear, nose, or throat.

Community Outreach: Extending Our Reach

We are committed to raising awareness and providing care beyond our hospital:

  • Awareness Campaigns: Our team participates in community awareness programs about hearing loss through radio interviews and other media.
  • Outreach Services: We bring ENT services to various districts in the Mbeya Region and surrounding areas, offering examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and even performing surgeries and minor procedures in outreach centers.
